Explosion and fire protection in air filtration systems

PROTECTION AGAINST SPARKS AND FIRES
GGE srl offers active or passive systems capable of decreasing the probability that a spark (fire ignition) can reach a filter unit. In the unfortunate event that a fire nevertheless breaks out, GGE srl is able to offer protection systems that aim to mitigate the effects of this event.
The evaluation of the fire protection system varies depending on several parameters. GGE srl's technical personnel is able to support the customer in choosing and sizing the most suitable system.
• RED CYCLONE SPARK TRAP
• BERT-TRAP SPARK TRAP
• ACTIVE SPARK DETECTOR
• WATER PRESSURISATION UNIT
• GRAVITY FIRE DAMPER
• SPRINKLER CIRCUIT
• THERMOVELOCIMETRIC TEMPERATURE PROBE
• AUTOMATIC/MANUAL ANTI-FIRE BY-PASS
• FIRE CONTROL PANEL

EXPLOSION PROTECTION
The possibility of an explosion occurring inside the filter must be taken into account. To this purpose, GGE srl offers machines and plants equipped with protection systems capable of limiting the damage that such an event can cause.
There are two types of safeties that are most commonly used:
A) Explosion-proof panel, which, in the event of an explosion, directs the explosion in a predefined direction.
B) Non-return valve, which decouples the filter from the piping circuit.
There are also very fast-activating explosion suppression systems, which, however, usually have higher costs. The main explosion protection systems are as follows:
• EXPLOSION NON-RETURN VALVE
• EXPLOSION-PROOF PANEL
• INDOOR EXPLOSION-PROOF PANEL
• SUPPRESSION SYSTEMS
